A whisper

by Jess   May 19, 2008

A whisper in a darkened room
a waterfall flowing through a tomb
a girl in a corner hiding her face
a world in her head, a harsh empty place

a regret that pushes lifes' boundaries aside
a boy who might now have been by her side
a black and white drawing covered in blue
a cold empty whisper no-one wants to be true

a million words that no-one could say
a whisper returning growing stronger each day
a feather thats falling without touching the ground
a wave that crashes without making a sound

a story forever darkened in stone
a scream that has now become just a moan
a strong tall mountain beginning to melt
a lump in my throat that can't show how i felt

a game that is over before it's begun
a world in tatters like a crossword undone
a whisper that's wriggling, and is breaking free
a whisper that's screaming isnt a whisper, to me
