Broken promise

by Four Letter Lie   May 22, 2008

I made you a promise,
Not to ever leave.
In this promise you truly believed.
But for far too long you were gone.
So eventually I moved along.

When you returned,
You seemed not to care,
But at me you shot that evil glare.
Ive apologised so many times,
But all my apologies you've declined.

I'm dying of sadness I didn't know of your return,
Your love I shall never re-earn.
I waited so long for you to come back,
People told me to give up, I gave in to that.

I waited out in the cold,
the waiting seemed to hollow my soul.
But now im saying my final goodbye,
By the end of the night I'll be up in the sky.
