Bring That Sunshine Back

by Silly Shae   Jun 14, 2008

The birds are all chirping
And the grass is freshly cut
You know that the sunshine is back
There's kids playing, in the kiddy pool
The bright sun off the water makes your squint
The sweat is dripping off your back
It's getting even hotter
Way above 30
That sunshine is back
The kitchen smells of oranges and watermelon
With a little hint of fresh air
Mom's in the back, sitting in the lawn chair
Yes, that sunshine is back.

(Originally written for some kinda imagery poem for Poetry Island, in school. I got an 8/10 on it because I didn't use enough adjectives.)
