Haunting love

by fearose   Jun 21, 2008

Filaments of past love drift like feathers over the bay
Clouded hearts and foggy dreams won't take the pain away
Everything felt so right but then they went so wrong
I'm reaching for your shadow, drowning in the kiss of dawn

The words that you spoke so softly to me
Remind me now how it all used to be
The stars up above and the moon in the sky
Beg me to explain why I even dared to try

There's no where to run, no where to hide
From feelings to minds, they're all on your side
When lies turn into truth, I sacrificed for you
And you repaid me by saying, 'I love you too'

I rest my heartache, tormented in my sleep
You're in my dreams, making my pain run deep
I wish I could rid you from my memories
But you'll always haunt me in my reveries
