Regret

by Elyssa   Jun 23, 2008

I would dance in the rain
The tune in your heart
A perfect beat
Anything to forget you.
I drown my sorrows into ice cream
Won't you ever return to me
How will it never be the same?
The pain in my eyes
I'm going blind
But it's nothing compared to my heart.
A strange sensation creeps under my skin
It's not hatred
It's not love
Could I possibly regret my past?
I must move on
You won't come back
How could I not see
You were no good for me
I should listen to my friends
Trust my family
I finally see the light you've dimmed
I will always love you
But I refuse to regret you.
