For Fear of Rejection...

by Tina Carr AKA Snickers   Jun 26, 2008

Whenever I see you
I can't help but smile
I love how you're so honest,
So funny, and so guile.

Your words flood my thoughts.
I'm unusually attentive.
I've placed you on a pedestal
And you're my primary incentive.

I'm falling oh-so-quickly,
Neglecting all retention.
I wish that I could tell you,
But it's difficult to mention.

Not because you're flawless,
And not because I'm bitter...
But for fear I'll be rejected
Before you even consider.
