Saying goodbye

by Faithhope   Jun 27, 2008

Our lives crossed for a moment in time.
It was enough time to fall in love and everything seemed true and fine.
Though our lives were in two different places.
Our hearts did not take that to mind.

I drove you to the airport we said our good-byes.
I knew this would be the last time I would see you face to face.
I did not want to see you go but I was to scared to tell you so.
Tears rolled down my face as I watched your plane fly away.

Phone calls and letters and a card sent with the to few pictures in it.
Soon became fewer and fewer calls and emails fading with time.
The distance was too great and you did not come back.
My heart broke that spring.

However time has healed my heart.
For I know now God has planned someone who is perfect for me.
God works in mysterious ways even though we do not understand his plans, he sees the bigger picture and he knows what is best.
