Light and Love

by Unrequited   Jun 27, 2008

Because you are everything,
today I continue to breathe.
I will walk away,
your starlight lingering in my hair.
Growing until it can only
stop to die,
our rose fills us deep
with warming silence,
melting yesterday.
In blue-ray fields,
our eyes catch this distance,
crumbling it all underneath our feet,
leaving only light.
Light and love.

I have become all that you need,
for you gave me all I hoped to believe,
lighting the stars that burn in midnight.
Our souls will feed off this light,
our hearts will bleed all this love
forming tears that define our destiny.

My grief dissolved the very moment you caught my eye.

And because you were there,
you became everything,
leaving love in my eyes
and starlight in my hair.
