Answer My Confused Heart

Question: was it love, why did you leave, couldn't we have grown
where are you, will you come back, was i the best you have ever known

Please, Please give me an answer for my bemused heart
I try to fit the puzzle together but my heart just falls apart
Do I still love her, did she ever love me, when did it end did it even start
I know if I figure this out and it all became clear it might be an art

My heart is bewildered because it has stumbled upon this mystery
It is amazing and mind boggling to think you were so wonderful
As wonderful as reading about lovers lives off the pages of history
So now I yearn for something to make my world become meaningful

Answers, just answers, it seems so difficult when that it is all I call for
but answers to my vacant questions the arctic truth does not confer
she could provide all my answers if her life was not torn
and in the worst part of this confusion I will have to live with this sore

in my puzzled life, as long as my days are, my face hangs to the floor
Although I practice to be happy in the mirror for when I walk out the door
So please, please give me an answer for my bemused heart
