The sun

The sun

three years passed like floating clouds in the sky
slow but steady to the corner of my eye
when was it since I've last said goodbye
when the sun would set and my heart would cry

the morning sun that glitter with grace
the shadow of her fringe across her face
a curious wonder as my heart starts to race
the school bell rings and a stranger leaves the place

the sun greets the clouds, bring forth the new day
my eyes in a dilemma, as she was in the way
At the corner of her eye, i was about to say hey
as the dimples rise, the curved lips shifts away

As the clouds moved from left to right of my scope
The sun rise fed my confidence with new hope
November, it was studies that we both had to cope
bringing us closer, we both climbed the same rope

the sun on graduation brings on a new start
dark clouds gather, the sun and i must part
Her secret love unveils causing a broken heart
she then questions me, tearing my cover apart

she said she only had one thing on her mind
as she searched her heart she said she'll be fine
but she continued saying it was me she couldn't find
I'm sorry I can't accept your heart as her last line

like poker dots painted on the marble ground
raindrops and tears fell simultaneously down
like the passion in my heart, the fire dies down
and the winds sweeps dust of hope around

the sun rises again after three years and a day
I still remember the smile that shifted away
denying all hope like a curtain to the sun's ray
in my heart the sun remains set on a cloudless day
