Dear Heart Holder

by Shana   Jul 5, 2008

I have kissed the lips of death.
I could feel my heart withering away.
It was so hard to do so,
But I got it to stay.

Give it good care,
Now that it is with you.
Treat it like your own.
Be kind, be true.

It is fragile.
But it will do anything to survive.
Even kill,
Just to be alive.

I have trust in you.
Do not let me down.
In a sea of your love,
Is where I wish to drown.
