Who You Really Are

by HollyWoods   Jul 8, 2008

Who ever said I could handle anything you threw at me?
Who ever said that I'd be OK?
What makes you think you can toy with my emotions like that?
What makes that alright?
I don't want to be used by you...
I don't want to be your puppet...

Now, cut my strings, and free my soul...
Look me in the eyes, and tell me I'm nothing...
Tell me I'm something...
Tell me I'm everything...

Now, take you silly squirt gun,
and fill it with red blood...
Shoot it at me, and reveal who you have become...
Tell me who you are, show me how you've changed...
Take my hand, and lead me to your fountain...

Now, drown me in your dark green waters until I'm dead...
Watch me float around, as you laugh your evil laugh...
Turn around, and realize that I'm still there...
Haunt this world, like you've never done before...
Be the monster you never were...

Now, take my soul, and send it with the winds...
Watch me, as your once loved one floats away...
Listen, as I'm getting further out of your deadly reach...
Cry your tears of silver beauty, and pain...
And realize, that I'm gone...
Realize that I'll never be back... and see what you've changed into...

Now, understand that I feared you...
Keep me in your memory, and dwell for ever more...
Hide from the world, and stay a forbidden secret...
I'll be back for you...
I'll be back for the monster you shouldn't be...

Now, believe me, I'll see you again...
In a world so forgotten, and lonely...
So cold, and dark...
So far away from everything, and everyone...
Change back to your pathetic self...
And tell me the truth...
Tell me you love me...

Now, take this letter, read it aloud..
And see who you really are...
And see who you never really were...
