The doorbell rings

by lanie   Jul 15, 2008

Just another day
just like any other
sitting doing homework
i get a text
"will you go out with me?"

the doorbell rings
deep inside i pray its you
like we were
let me open the door to the memory

down by the pool
in november
only purpose to get away
here is where i want to stay

the doorbell rings
deep inside i pray its you
like we were
let me open the door to the memory

hugs and kisses
sleepless nights
breaking all the rules
never getting caught

the doorbell rings
deep inside i pray its you
like we were
let me open the door to the memory

wishes granted
songs sung
games played
why did you do it this way

the doorbell rings
deep inside i pray its you
like we were
let me open the door to the memory

now im crying
your happy still
with her in your arms
where i belong.
