I Loved You (Now Slumber, Now Death)

by Andrea Raquel   Jul 17, 2008

I loved you.

With all my heart,
And all my soul.
Sin shame or doubt
Beyond Control.

I loved you.

I blinded my eyes
To the all that you were
A charmer whose charm
Focused solely on her.

I loved you.

She's gorgeous, she's talent,
She's perfect, it's true
But she's vain and cares for herself,
Not for you.

I Loved you.

I told you, confessed
My love, you and me.
Every word off my chest
Was my Anchor at sea.

I loved you.

In your pretty blue eyes
Lay a storm and a stare
You brushed off my words
Not a thought you could spare.

You were dreaming of her,
You were breaking my heart,
And now here we are
Once again at the start.

I loved you entirely
Every bit, share and flaw.
Broken heart, broken soul
And on top of it all

I have anger and pain
And betrayal and tears
And razor sharp nightmares
Bitter, slow-steeping fears

So call her your Love
And your life giving breath
Consigned, broken skin
Bloodied wrists, and the rest
The sleep of the angels,
Now slumber, now, Death
