Home team hero

by Lacie   Jul 17, 2008

The Clock is ticking,
The scores are tied.

The coaches are screaming,
Its raining outside.

The players are tired,
They wanna go home.

Who will win,
Nobody knows.

One of the homes teams very best,
Keeps up his chin, and fight for the rest.

His plan is to intercept on the next play,
He'll run for the point, then he'll go all the way.

There is the snap,
His plan comes alive.

He jumps through the air,
Right past there eyes.

The balls in his hands,
but because of the rain,

Its hard to hold onto,
When the apposing team starts to gain.

Hes getting closer,
As the clocks ticking down,

8 seconds to score,
As hes pulled to the ground.

He thrusts his hands forward,
Just over the line,

He looks to the ref,
As the play was called fine.

He made the touch down,
As the clock hit zero.

Now to the home team.
The boy is a hero.
