The End

by H E Losey   Jul 21, 2008

As the light beckoning at the tunnel's end
Thoughts of you encourage my existence
As the flame upon my candle of life burns brighter
So do the memories of our love enhance my perseverance?

As the moon chases the sun across the heavens
My mind pursues the means to return to you
As minute follows second and hour follows minute
So do all my thoughts revolve upon my memories of we two.

As sure as all men are born but one day to die
I have in my being but one purpose unto life
As to the heavens we lift our hearts in prayer
So do I ask you once more "Will you be my wife?"

Very nice! At first the rhythm is strange, but that's my opinion. Maybe I just didn't read it right. The last stanza is great!
