Man of Dreams

by H E Losey   Jul 21, 2008

There was a man of God back then
Who had a dream, a dream of when
Each man could finally forget the past
And we would all thank God to be "Free at last".

There was a man who stood from the crowd
Who preached to all, brotherhood he vowed
Each man and woman looking one to another
And each would say "There is my brother".

There was a man of ignorance and hate
Who fired a gun --Memphis--April--1968
Each man must now follow their own scheme
And each must say "I have a dream".

This is wonderful, what a message. The flow was great and so was the rhyme. I thoroughly enjoyed this poem of yours. Great job!

Hot damn Losey! This is great! I could picture this framed or printed onto a fancy dinner plate that no one will ever use and simply put on display.

Everything was perfect. Five out of five.
