I Found Her

by Tonisha Ragland   Jul 23, 2008

I was searching but never could I find
The girl that was for me the girl I call mine
It got harder and choices was tough
But I kept searching until searching was enough
Then I thought maybe she will come to me
An it's weird she's everything I wanted her to be
She's real she's true but I must give it time
I found this young woman I can call mine
Did I say I found her the truth is she found me
Told me her name was Alexis so I will call her Lexi
She's mature sweet and all I was looking for
I hope I'm all she wants and nothing more
I'm willing to ride this road all the way out
I can tell she's feeling me; eyes focused on my mouth
But that's not what this poems about
I found her and I'm happy now
