Willow tree

by Amanda Jo   Jul 28, 2008

Dance to the music when the big wind blows
laugh at the jokes as the humor inside grows
cry to the starry night when the tree begins to bleed
then sit in silence as the heaven starts to read

"Sing with the willow when the big wind blows,
as soft as a pillow as the love inside grows,
as mean as your shadow gone with the vines whipped around,
as gentle as the coming dawn, while its perched above the ground."
