I can see the writer is a dog-person. From this and one of your previous poems reveal that.

A dog in your bed. Well, that is pure friendship then... To take your dog lying beside you. Not all of us would do that. I remember my sister had a golden rider. It was a totally beautiful lovely dog with good nature. My little sister used to ride on him when she was young.

I think many dog-owners can relate to this poem... Lying down and stroking the dog's hair....Thinking about the whole universe...calming down and relax...

What a lovely feeling with her warm and tender body
Lying next to mine
Every so often a gentle nibble on my ear
Warm tongue flicking at the lobes

her name is twitch and she is an 8 week old pitbull terrier,shame on you what were you thinking

Good one. I have two that share my bed. One Pharaoh Hound and one Basenji. I like this poem. You are a softy for dogs. Me too.
