Gone in the Morning

by Alyssa Agony   Jul 29, 2008

Our Hearts beat like one in our chests.
Our body's mingle together.
Our limbs tangled in each other exploring each others body's like a newly discovered island.
Our lips glued together and our tongues playing tag.
Blood rushing through our veins making my head cloudy.
Your scent lingering in my nose and Your taste lingers on my lips.
Could this be love or just lust getting the best of us.
You whisper, "I love you." in my ear
and I question the meaning in my head.
I hear the pounding of our hearts in my ears a deafening roar like a spaceship reentering the atmosphere.
The Noise starts to quiet and our hearts begin to slow.
You roll off of me and we lay breathless for a moment.
This sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach, the feeling of regret.
In the morning you will be gone and i will be alone again.
Just this longing in my heart and your face burned into my brain.
