Only to be left in the dark

I'm sorry I enjoyed your company
I'm sorry I believed what you said
I'm sorry I let you hurt me
As I sit here and ponder through my head

I'm sorry I was the best I could be
I'm sorry I was trying to be the girl of your dreams
I'm sorry I believed you cared
I wish I would have caught on to your schemes

I'm sorry we were best friends
I'm sorry I thought it would never end
I'm sorry I thought the world of you
And you thought less of me

I'm sorry I want you forever
I'm sorry I thought we had a chance
I'm sorry for believing
It was a spectacular romance

    I join you with your sentiments. i was once like that and i know i am still sorry about my past love. i dont know why sorry is the least or if not the only thing we could say after a relationship. it's just a sad reality
