We Fell In Love

by ~Patiently Waiting~   Aug 4, 2008

I remember back in the spring,
We fell in love and had everything.

We never argued, we never fought,
"I love you", is all we thought.

We'd kiss and hug, and that was all,
We were innocent, and we were small.

We'd push each other on the swing,
We fell in love and had everything.

We got older and we grew,
And we found our love grew too.

There were no limits to what we did,
'Cause we were small and we were kids.

We grew some more and you got your ring,
We fell in love and had everything.

Our friends would fight and hate married life,
"I hate my husband" and "I hate my wife".

But those harsh words just weren't us,
We weren't into all of that fuss.

We celebrated our 30th and heard everyone sing,
We fell in love and had everything.

We were old and we were gray,
But we loved each other on that day.

You were my queen and I was your king,
Even in death we had everything.
