Just because I can go on every day
Doesn't mean I like it
So here's to another happy poem
I have to at least try it

Just because I can go on without crying
Doesn't mean I'm not in pieces
So here's to another happy poem
And to all who's gonna read this

Just because I can smile now
Doesn't mean that I'm not hurt
I'll keep thinking happy thoughts
And pray to God it works

Just because it's for the best
Doesn't mean it's easy to do
And 100 things I'd say
If I could say 1 thing to you

Just because I'm far away
Doesn't mean the end
A poem for another time
You were always more than just a friend

Did you know I miss you?
Now everything seems far
This wasn't ever gonna be easy
But I'd never thought this hard

I'm going to end the poem
I tried the best I could
I love you more than ice cream
I love you more than I should

    just kidding.
    this was really sweet, jesse, but in that whole bitter "i miss you" sort of way..*sighs*. and I understand the whole, just because i'm smiling bit. but...at least you're making the effort to smile. i'm glad about that. i know, it's hard..but you guys are going to be ok..

    I'm going to end the poem

    ^^ that made me smile. made me think of february...*shakes head* it's cute. that third line..lol. and the last line is perfect.
