Graduation

by Avrii Monrielle   Aug 8, 2008

I care for you,
I run away,
I spend my days
Trying to protect you.

You pull the trigger
When you utter one word;
Do you enjoy tormenting
Me, with what I've heard?

Let's commit seppuku: ritual suicide.
You can use a needle, and my heart can die.
We can both keep our pride, and leave this
Disgusting place, striding with grace.

Your voice rings out, still with a clear beat.
The walls sink collapse to scorn my defeat.
Trapped inside the clamoring staircase
Of the twists and turns I do not want to face.

Your voice rings out with what I have heard.
Pulling the trigger as you utter one word.
Tormenting me, the walls sink and collapse;
Scorning my face, you stride away in grace.

I care for you, I run away, spending my days
Trying to protect you.
My disbelief can only run so high; pull the trigger
And my heart can die.

Your voice rings out as the walls collapse,
I see you with an innocent stare.
Tears peek out and trickle below
The eyes of whom I used to care.

Congratulations, is all I may say.
In your grace, my disbelief
Is spent, trying to protect you.
Graduate from my heart.

    Oh my gosh...that was so terribly sad, i never expected that from the title. What a horrible loss, like your whole world collapses at one word, one moment. I know the feeling, but sorry that you do as well.
