Your Wish

by TorturedTourniquet   Aug 9, 2008

This is a lot darker than I normally write, so be warned. It was for a contest on another site, the theme was macabre, and this just popped into my head. If you don't like it, I'll understand. Just figured I'd give it a shot. So, here it is. Your Wish...

My own hands granted your greatest wish.
You always said it yourself.
You wished for the darkness to descend in permanence.
I heard your wish.
You did not realize that I could grant it.
Your heart was heavy that day.
You called me your love.
Then I realized.
Your love could go to another.
And I could not bear that.
So, as a final attempt toward forever, I granted your wish.
You cried out to me, why?
Why would I do this?
As your life flowed around me.
Engulfing me in your love.
Why?
Simple.
You wished it.
Now your darkness is permanent.
Your life is forever in my veins.
Your love is forever a part of me.
Enjoy your wish, love.
For soon, I shall join you in it.
