Black community

Either they don't know
or don't care wat happens in the hood
well they all should

every day i wake up with a regular mentality
I'm a target on the streets thats just reality
in my hood we never had hot salary's
except making deals or selling drugs in the alley

see the system was made for us to fail
just look at our jails, over populated with mistakes and young black mails
i ain't telling no tail
this is my life
so we choose heaven or hell
get bad letters from school
we rather get street mail

Ive been witness to some robbery's
snitching i do without it
but i wonder why the dam* police
wont do nothing bout it
my hoods taking wrong turns
its time to reroute it

sometimes i lay in bed thinking in 20 years where we all r gonna be
and when i say we i mean my black community

this world is so mest up even Stevy Wonder can see
i put my dogs on lock down now let Ur mind free
i wish people could see
this isn't the way to be
sometimes i lay in bed thinking in 20 years where we all r gonna be
and when i say we i mean my black community

they act like they know how it feels to hurt so long
but they never had to walk in our shoes
and they never had to sing these sad blues

ill be up all nite
asking God for the truth
he tells me think and translated it in my own words in the booth

trying to kill cuz thats all that happens these days
but i get on my knees and pray
sometimes i lay in bed thinking in 20 years where we all r gonna be
i ain't gotta wonder no more
my people rolling with me
