Goodbye my Love

by Searching for Guidance   Aug 18, 2008

Sometimes I wonder where you are,
Are you sitting there thinking of me?
Sometimes the miles seem so far,
If only you could see,

The smile that comes with every letter,
And the soft sweet kiss.
I know that soon things will get better,
That is all I wish.

For happiness, for time with you
For thoughtful moments,
Through and through.
A soft caress

An angel's smile,
Hoping maybe I'll forget,
That in a while
I'll be the saddest person that you've ever met.

For when you walk away,
I hope that you can't see.
The silent way I sway,
As the tears seeps out of me.

I want you to be mine,
More than anything.
But pretending that I'm fine
Causes my heart to ding.

For my broken heart,
Can not take anymore.
Maybe if I restart,
I'll allow my heart to soar!

I'll once again know joy,
Achieved alone in me.
And not through any boy,
Such as a silent cup of tea.

A piece of coconut cream pie,
A day with only sun,
A clear blue sky,
A fast paced run.

The things that once made life so pure,
Life so carefree, so fun.
Now and only now I'm sure,
I must say goodbye, hun.

It's nothing that you did wrong,
Nothing unsaid, no awful sin.
But now I must be strong,
For this is when my life will begin.

"Goodbye my Love...."
