Salvage of the Dead

by InvisiblyHeartless   Aug 19, 2008

Salvaging the tiny vulnerable shards
Trying to pull something together
Proving that I can hold it strong for you
Rescuing myself, whom I don't like
Truth comes like clockwork, ticking
As I wait for someone to join me
Re gluing the mosaic of my heart
Temporarily allowing a truce with myself
Holding on to a limb of dreams
Opening up into a mess of bloody pain
You wanted to love me and you do
My emotions go wild when we talk
Flashbacks come and steal my smile
At every moment of the lonely day
All you left in the wake of destruction
Is a raw and uncovered special me
She isn't attractive or amazing
Just a broken girl in a dying world
three little words left her dead
Nothing to prepare her or rescue her
That one strong powerful tear stained teen
Is finding her calling, to change the world
So she one day can prove it to him
That heartbreak hurts worse than love
She has the fate destined to
To teach every single empty child
Love is bright and beautiful if honest
Executed when high on smiles
It can leave you wrenching in pain
Torturing you to your last live breath
So she can salvage someone else
You told her she wasn't worth the risk
And that is why shes in the sky
All your fault, she warned him as she left
Nothing you can do to stop me now
Son of a pretty mother fudging bi*ch
