My Heart's Last Beat

by Irene   Aug 21, 2008

Each day keeps getting shorter as my life goes by.
All is limited, each breathe, each sigh.
I was your baby, wife, and boo.
And you were my love, sweetheart, and agapimou.
Until this day, you were my everything even my friend.
Oh what a shame and a damn crime for it all to end.
So good-bye my love, oh how I wish I could stay.
To live with you, in your arms, everyday!
But, every road that we travel, there's an end.
But the time has come to say, "Farewell old friend."
Well my love, I said my good-bye now I want you to know,
exactly how much i love and miss you, but I have to go.
But all the love that we shared will remain,
and all the tears I have cried are of joy, not of vain.
But don't shed any tears over me when I leave.
I will be watching over you from above,
because no one will ever break our love.
My heart stops with one last throbbing beat,
now I shall patiently wait til' the next time we meet...

agapimou = Greek for "my love"
