My Love For You

by Matt   Aug 25, 2008

Your blaze of brain and body,
The fire in your eyes,
It grills my heart with fire
And fills my mouth with lies.

The shining lock of raving brown,
Blown free across your face
A mystic twirl that lights my world
And warms my inner space.

It just comes out this way
No matter what I do.
And it may not sound sincere
But it's really almost true.

That blinding flash of intellect,
Your burning need to know,
Your strength of voice compels my choice,
I'm drawn into your glow.

I want it to sound romantic
But then I start to fear,
The words are all so flowery
It seems so insincere.

That's why I wrote this poem,
I wanted you to see,
If all the world had just one girl,
You'd be that girl for me.
