For the better

I've been waiting for a long time
I've been wanting this since forever
yearning just to be with you
just for us to be together

somehow wanting is just not enough
somehow waiting doesn't mean you'll get it
seeing you happy with someone else
I'm starting to regret it

because here i am alone
finally realizing I'm not someone you need
and it hurts much more knowing that
that someone can't be me

seems like dreams don't last forever
nor does waiting ever works
i guess you don't always get what you want
and when you don't you get hurt
