Romeo to Juliet

by michelle   Sep 1, 2008

My love it is with heavy heart, I write these words.
I watch the light of the earth fade,
And my heart's life fades with it,
For I am not with you.
I can't console the pain I feel,
For slaying a cousin to thee,
A friend, not enemy.
I am banished to Mantua,
But my heart is with thee in Verona.
I feel the breeze of the wind brush my face
And remember the touch of your fingers;
Gentle and warm on my cheek.
I watch the orange light set slowly,
And remember our night together,
The sweet joy it was.
Your sweet smile and stunning eyes,
Warm my heart on a cold night,
And soak away the pain.
O' Juliet, How I miss thee
I will return to thee soon
With all of the love in the world
Resting on your shoulders
I bid thee goodnight.
