Thank you, Lone Wolf. I wrote this when it was approaching S. Florida (where I live), but thankfully it missed us. I remember Hurricane Wilma, and that was no fun!

Wonderfully written, this really describes the horror and destruction that Hurricane Ike caused, and you captured the fear of it all perfectly. You have so much talent and your poetry is so touching to me, good work! Keep writing, always and forever....

Wonderfully written, I live in Houston, near Passadena, and about 55 miles from Galveston, It hit us extremely hard, We got the front, eye and back of it all on Friday night, Lost power for 15 days, It was crazy, My first time riding out a Hurricane, I just moved to the Houston area 2yrs ago.

I can say one thing, I'll -never- ride out another one, Ike was scary enough.
