Contemplation

by Vox   Sep 7, 2008

Here I sit,
Peering over the land,
As time ticks by,
With each grain of sand,

Thoughts are creeping,
Into my concious mind,
Convincing me to look,
For something I must find.

Rather, someone,
Not something,
Someone to give,
This diamond ring.

I think I know who,
My heart will choose,
I think that someone...
That someone is you.

So here I sit,
Peering over the land,
Hoping someday,
To slide this ring onto your hand.

I liked the simplicity here. It was short, sweet and to the point making it a wonderful read. So much meaning was packed behind you short lines and there was power in the words you used. I liked the reptitition because it got your message across and the imagery was just perfect.

    Well done.
