Love hurts

by cassanova   Sep 12, 2008

Why such a good thing,
could hurt so much,
when you do find it,
you'll know its touch,
it softens the soul,
and consumes the mind,
it will happen fast,
cause love is blind,
its the best experience,
but could be your worst,
when you lose your love,
and just wanna burst,
to have a true love,
is what life is about,
if you're afraid of love,
then you're missing out,
you cant hold back your heart,
you have to show how you feel,
or else you might miss out,
on something that was real...

This is rly true but, no offense intended, it's a bit cliche. I think if you broke it up into a few stanzas and wrote the experierce from your own original perspective it would be outstanding.

but it has lots of potential

    Paul,

You are so right: love is all that matters.
People who are afraid to have their heart broken, often end up alone and bitter.
You have to always dare to love and when you've given it your all and fail, then you know it was not your fault.
Love hurts, yes...but loneliness hurts way more;)
    Great poem, sweetheart..keep them coming!

    Hugs,
    5/5 Ingrid
