What She Wish He Felt

What She Wish He Felt...

Her voice rests
on my chest
as my breath
opens and closes
then slowly freezes
into a peaceful
Hibernation.
And my stomach
still burning,
at last, relaxes.
And I gaze up and wonder
how long her fast-pace
heart had been running.
A peaceful body beside me
but why are her breaths
so nervous and unsure?
Is she giving in?
Or giving up?

How many times
had this fragile being
been broken?
And how many times
can you call a being Fragile
after it has been broken?

But the weight
of her heart nestled
in the core of my bosom
makes me feel
A presence-
A soft, infinite beating,
that goes ever on for her love.
And this dimly lit,
yet consistent happiness
within the spark of my flame
can never be broken.
Not even by the most sinful of seas.
And the warmth
I was always shivering for
is finally in my arms.
