My Yellow Doored Room

by Curing the Comon Cliche   Sep 18, 2008

These words and these poems
These melodies and notes
I can't sing to you
Everything you should know
I'm afraid to go to sleep
I'm not afraid of my dreams
I'm afraid of the moments
That happen in between

The broken piano
In a yellow door room
In the back of the high school
That I'll be out of soon
Keeps me intact
For the days I cant stand
And smile and fake it
For the days I feel wrong
I escape to my room
I'll write you a love song

I can't put to words
How sorry I am
For all the dumb moves
I've been making again
For all the stupid things
That I shouldn't have said
The ones that I should've
We both need them that bad

The broken piano
In a yellow door room
In the back of the high school
That I'll be out of soon
Keeps me intact
For the days I cant stand
And smile and fake it
For the days I feel wrong
I escape to my room
I'll write you a love song

I know it sounds stupid
But I promise you this
The words I can't sing
The notes I can't hit
The songs I can't play
The words I can't write
I'll whisper to you when you can't sleep at night

The broken piano
In a yellow door room
In the back of the high school
That I'll be out of soon
Keeps me alive
For the days I can't breathe
For the days I need you
For the days you need me
For the days I feel wrong
I'll escape to my room
And I'll write you a love song

^^ I think we all have a place or two like that. We have a physical one and a metaphorical safehouse. one in a real place, one in a person.

it's scary when they go away.

    this was really pretty. 5/5
