An Angel Sinned

by Jehanna Victoria   Sep 19, 2008

My Lord, I have done something
Against your will.

I have sinned.

You told me to look after him
To guide him,
To protect him,
To keep him from doing wrong
And I have done your will

But I did more than what I should have done
I never ignored
These butterflies everywhere
That kept flapping around my stomach.

My guiding stare
Became Argus-eyed.
Before I knew it
I saw myself falling into a pool of earthy acts.

This shouldn’t be!
I cannot take this anymore!
I have loved a mortal and I know that it’s wrong.

Lord
I am your servant
And your angel,
Who is not worthy of your trust.
Forgive me.
