Something Missing

It was your special day.
The most special of all.
Its your 13th birthday.
Without a doubt at all.

If I could I'd bake you a cake.
From scratch and the finest ingredients.
I'd put 13 candles on it too.
Just to prove that your pretty.
Because as soon as they are lite your face will show its true inner beauty.

But thats not enough.
Somethings missing.
Just like a piece missing from a puzzle.
Maybe i forgot an ingredient in the cake.
Or maybe your present wasn't enough for you.

But that can't possibly be it.
It must be something.
Did i change or are you scared just like me?
Are we always going to stay friends after this?
But no matter what i can't think of whats missing.

Is It because you found yourself lost?
In a room that never ends with red walls?
With no doors or windows?
Is it beating?
Is it soft?
Is it familiar but confusing?
It must be that.
It has to be.
