We Will Fly

by Curing the Comon Cliche   Sep 22, 2008

We'll sit on on a wooden bench
Under a big old evergreen
Telling stories that make us smile
Holding hands and drinking tea

We'll get back to the house
Or we'll get lost
I'll hug you close
I'll kiss you soft

We will fly away again

We'll find peace
Off a woodland trail
I'll pick the snowflakes
Out of your hair
While you catch them
With your tongue
Make snow angels
In winter sun

We will fly again

We'll sing songs
Until we're heard
I'm a bird
If you're a bird

We will fly

We'll catch fireflies on Christmas
And we'll keep them in a jar
And when the power goes out
I'll know just where you are
And we will let them free next morning
And they'll go into the sky
And they'll be little stars for ever
We will fly
We will fly
We will fly

    Hmm... I give you a big 5/5
You have a great talent.. I could picture everything.. I love, Love poems. This one was so optimistic and it was like, at that moment nothing could break your happiness and you've captured all of those great feelings forever, in the lines of your poem.
    please keep writing
