Look how far we've come
Look how far we've left to go
Look at the poems, they twinkle like stars
They say "I love you", so you know

I had a nightmare yesterday
They chip away at this armor
Where I fell so far from the moon
Good bye our sky harbor

The sad ones I can laugh at now
The happy memories make me cry
Holding hands and watching movies
Back then we believed we could fly

I know I can't draw you pictures
Or sing you songs that I can't write
I can hold you in your sleep
And fly you off to starry night...

I know it isn't as good as it sounds
But right now it's all I can get
The sweet dreams that I say to you
I haven't missed one yet

You know just because I am not there
Doesn't mean I'm not with you
This folded piece of paper
For you, my love, is proof

I know that you're in public
So I apologize if this makes you cry
Here is too the very start
Back then we could fly
