Gravity

by moonlight2105   Sep 22, 2008

I'm a planet circling in orbit,
no major change since nearly endless time -
until this fantastic night.
Something wonderful arrived from far away,
you converged and appeared as most beautiful star on the sky,
A cosmic power attracted me,
hours of vibrations as result of this irresistible gravity,
until it disappeared slowly in the deep space again.
Slowly the attraction throws me out of orbit,
slowly I'm drifting out of solar system,
slowly I leave everything behind,
slowly sunlight fades out into a single point of light.
Lost in space like you,
sometimes it happens that I'm getting close to others,
and attract them and hope that one of them
would bring me back by cosmic powers.
Then I always wonder if this gonna be eternal attraction
or just another change in direction.
One thing is sure in nature of gravity,
we will find ourself in a singularity -
much closer together as anybody on earth can imagine.
