One More Thing Before You Go...

by Hannah   Sep 23, 2008

I looked at the door
and rocked as i did as a
child

just one more thing before you go;
i never loved like i did with
you.

i curled up then
and looked at the empty
house

just one more thing before you go;
i never wanted someone like i wanted
you.

i peeked then with my eyes
blurred with tears
at the driveway you just pulled
out of

just one more thing before you go;
i won't feel safe without you
here.

i got up and walked to the bathroom
and your toothbrush was still
there

just one more thing before you go;
i'll never feel again.

i took your old picture off of the wall
and sat and cried until the glass was
blurry and fogged

just one more thing before you go;
i wish things could have been
different.

i started to watch the old movies you left
that i never wanted to watch with you
before

just one more thing before you go;
i wish i could see you again.

where are you
i hope your trip was alright

just one more thing before we say
goodbye;
i'll miss you.
