Stronger

by Come What May   Sep 24, 2008

I'm hurting.

Each tear I cry,
Goes unnoticed by you
My mask holds firm
On my unmarred face.

I'm dying.

A little inside each day.
But you can't see it.
My smile doesn't fade,
Not for a moment.

I'm screaming.

Silently of course,
But my soul hurts still.
Yet my voice is still pure
And unheard by you.

I'm longing.

For you to understand
This pain I'm feeling.
But I speak to you
As though everything is fine.

I'm broken.

You broke me more.
My friend, "the best".
Yet I remain "unchanged"
And you'll never know.

I'm healing.

The words I write
They're therapy, they never change.
They never leave, never hurt.
They are stronger than me.
