Mama Warned Me About Him

by Lola Granny   Sep 27, 2008

Mama warned me about him
hitting the towns
the woman
and the gin

rolling those designer sheets back
making ungodly sins
that will leave your heart
filled with nothing but sad looking grins

she said my little girl
open those eyes once again
and see who loves you
and who will be there in the end

for though he stands
tall rich and thin
he'll leave that heart
just as fast once again

and leave you feeling blue till the very end
so let's stop play and pretend
that he's just another fellow
awaiting around the bend

that'll not get your heart
and your soul in the end
so it's better off just being good friends
my little darling
with such sad looking grins

    Wonderful, my favourite stanzas were
    "she said my little girl
    open those eyes once again
    and see who loves you
and who will be there in the end

    for though he stands
    tall rich and thin
    he'll leave that heart
    just as fast once again."

    Flawless, 5/5. Em
