Desire on Repeat

by Viola   Oct 2, 2008

I miss the brushing of your fingers against mine
As we walked side by side
An innocent gesture
Yet it filled me with the desire for more
Passion lies untouched under the skin
Burning hot, and in your absence cold
But the eyes cannot hide the truth
Mine sparkle for you
She said I light up like a Christmas tree
Whenever you are near to me
And though I couldn't gather the courage to admit
I've never found a better reason to be

**The title of this poem is actually the title to a song by Vedera.
