Summer Nights

by LDA DVA   Oct 15, 2008

All alone, her only thoughts
are of summer nights and stars that blind.
The only voice she hears is his,
a whisper that over takes her mind.

She sits in a house with a boy she just met,
thinking of all the things she shouldnt regret
but she does and she cant feel anything else.

Why did it have to be him that she fell for?
The one who broke her heart,
and for what? a new girl? a brand new start?

But her heart is where it is,
And even though there is someone else
her thoughts linger on him,
in her heart there's no one else.

Though her tears fall like rain drops,
faster and faster, her heart breaks to peices
emotion disasters. She's left all alone
once again she cant make it on her own anymore.

Wake up, no this isnt a dream.
There he is, closer then he may seem.
Broken heart please be no more,
all she sees is an open door.

No more tears and no more pain,
smiles crowd her face again.
Her heart once again is whole,
no longer does pain take its toll.
