Deliverance

by Nicholas   Oct 15, 2008

In this empty haven that I once called a heart
I have hidden myself for so very long
It's been 4 yrs since we were ripped in two
And I have honestly loved you all along
The icy chasm in my chest has played home
To the ideas that I would love again
Each thought torn to shredded ribbons
Upon finding you with another man
But alas the old addage holds true to its word
If you love something you must let it go
And if that love of yours should ever return
It is then that you let your emotions grow
For you've finally appeared in the darkness
Just as the final light began to fade
You warmed up the frozen essence of love
Where in truth you have always stayed
Never again will you be able to slip away
I will hold to tightly to every thing you give
For if you manage escape again
These memories will help me live
