America the Brave

by Jaelly Longoria   Oct 25, 2008

People searching for familiar faces
New born babies waiting to see
Those who went off in battleships and airplanes
Sometimes lucky few would even appear

The nation struggles to keep up with salary
Economic failures trouble the world
The one is not ready to take it to face
But I'm sure we will get through the storm

Streets filled with homeless workers
Suffering with bags full of mold
Feet marked from warmth to cold stone
They may be poor but their heart still goes

The rich and the famous have problems at home
Some know money isn't worth the whole world
Others take advantage and take drugs in their veins
Giving the media celebrity gossip other than government pain

Charity companies try hard to keep people alive
Society tries hard to donate all they have
Lives are more important than taking away
Bring back our soldiers and live the right way

We have our own soil and our own ground
We can manufacture what we need and manage what we've found
You can only take away from someone else with the devils hand
Rock America back to place; living the American Dream.
